Adoption Process

When considering adopting an animal, there is far more to consider than their appearance. It is 100% about compatibility and finding an animal with an energy level and personality that you can actually manage. To start the adoption process:

1

Send us an email with information about yourself, your family and your home routine.

  • Let us know what you would like from a pet and what you have to offer

  • Tell us about your work/school schedule and how you like to spend your “free time” as this will give us an understanding of the type of dog/cat that might be best suited to fit your home.

  • Tell us about any experience you have with the species you are applying for.

4

Once your application has been approved, we would then schedule a meet/greet with the applied for animal.

2

We will discuss current available animals based on what was discussed about your home life and see if you think they would be a good match.

If there is a specific animal that you are interested in, we will discuss them further.

5

If all is successful, we would then plan the adoption day!

3

We then have an adoption application for you to complete which must include a veterinary reference(doesn’t matter if it was from 10 years ago!) along with 2 character references. If you do not have a veterinary reference because you have never owned an animal before, please include a 3rd character reference.
