If you are looking for a loyal, low rider companion to join you on the trails, on the water, or on the couch, meet Max! Max is a handsome 5 year old, 18lb Corgi/Jack Russel mix who is fully grown, healthy, and ready for his true forever home.
Max is an moderately active boy who lives life to the fullest. He is a massive fan of outdoor adventures: he loves going for hikes, running around the yard, and playing endless games of fetch with his favorite toys. He is learning to be a water dog who enjoys swimming and is even ready to be your kayaking buddy! He is a fantastic traveler in the car, making him the perfect co-pilot for road trips. On the other hand, Max is ready to be your couch cushion cuddler and is always game to sleep in!
Inside the home, Max is a dream roommate. He is fully house trained, can be trusted loose in the house while you're out, and is completely crate trained (he absolutely loves his crate!). He is great for grooming and nail trims, too. Once Max welcomes you into his circle, he is a total lover..super playful, deeply affectionate, and the ultimate cuddle bug. He bonded almost immediately with his current foster family and just wants to be your loyal shadow.
Max coexists with other dogs, but he would probably prefer to be a solo dog. He is a "one-person" or "single couple" type of dog when it comes to humans. He is a sensitive boy who simply does not like to be touched or pet by people he does not know. He isn't aggressive and can hang out in social settings or pass people on the trails perfectly fine. He just needs an advocate who will tell strangers, "Please don't pet him, he's a look-but-don't-touch kind of pup!" Because he has a history of snapping when his personal space isn't respected by strangers, a low-traffic, adult-only home that understands basic management is a must.
Max is fully neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vetting. He is heartworm and tick disease negative. He has so much joy, love, and adventure to bring to the right home.
