Ernie
Ernie is a roughly 6 month old Husky mix from a fly-in only community in Northern Ontario called Osnaburgh, and he is truly something special. Ernie came to us over a month ago with his sister Addison, who is also looking for a home.

Ernie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, up to date on flea/tick prevention and deworming, and neutered. He’s fully healed from his neuter, and also had a hernia repaired and a dewclaw removed. He’s healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever home.

This handsome boy is fun, affectionate, and full of love. He’s an active pup who adores playing with his toys, romping in the snow, and going for walks.
Ernie is great with other dogs and really enjoys canine companionship (another dog would be a bonus for him, but it’s not required). He does well on his own too.
Ernie previously lived in a foster home with a cat and did well. A confident, dog-savvy cat could be a possibility with proper introductions.

He’s doing fantastic with his training:
-
House-trained and very routine with potty breaks
-
Crate trained and sleeps well through the night
-
Knows sit, down and is working on paw
-
Great in the car
-

Ernie is currently around 30lbs and is expected to be anywhere from 50/55lbs when fully grown. He’s beautiful inside and out, incredibly sweet, very loving, and wonderful with kids.
He would thrive with an active family who enjoys getting outdoors and understands the needs of a husky-type dog.
We strongly encourage potential adopters to research the husky breed to ensure it’s the right fit.

If you’re looking for a fun, active, affectionate companion and think Ernie might be your match, please send us a message — we’d love to chat and see if he’s the right fit for your home
