Meet Mama Stella!

A sweet, playful, and soulful husky mix who came to us at the beginning of the month through the Northern Reach Network after being directly affected by the Northern Ontario wildfires. She arrived with her two 5 week old female pups, Aurora and Maple, and proved to be a superstar of a mom. Now, this happy, healthy girl is ready to step into the spotlight and find her very own forever home!

Stella is an absolute joy to be around, bringing a perfect mix of goofy energy and deep lovability to everyday life. She is wonderful with kids, currently thriving in her foster home alongside them, and gets along great with other dogs. She is already doing wonderfully with her potty training and leash walking, making her an easy addition to a household. She is also a dream in the car, ready and eager for whatever adventures her future family has planned.

Like many husky mixes, Stella does have a bit of a prey drive, so a home that is mindful of small critters will suit her best. Right now, she’s working on gaining a little weight to get back to her ideal shape, and she’s currently blowing her coat after nursing her pups, meaning once her coat grows back in, she is going to be rocking the most luxurious, stunning coat you’ve ever seen!

Stella is a resilient, beautiful soul who has given so much to her babies and is now ready to be pampered herself.
