Luna
Luna is a bright, sweet girl with an expressive face, adorable ears, and the most endearing little “grin” that always seems to appear when she’s happy or focused on you. She has that gentle, curious look that makes you feel instantly connected.
She is very eager to please and highly treat motivated, making her a quick and enthusiastic learner. Luna is intelligent, loves enrichment, and excels at puzzle toys. She truly enjoys using her brain as much as her legs. She also loves to run, play, and explore, and she walks beautifully on leash.
Luna is a true Velcro dog. She wants to be close to her people and doesn’t like being left out. She’ll happily follow you from room to room just to be near you.
She’s affectionate, loving, and thrives on companionship.
She’s great in the car, comfortable in her crate, and has had no overnight accidents in her crate. All of her toileting has been done outside in the backyard, showing excellent progress with her house training.
Luna does well with other dogs and is submissive and friendly. She would benefit greatly from having another playful dog in the home to help boost her confidence and keep her company. She’s been curious about cats but has shown no prey drive or aggression. There are 3 cats in her foster home as well as 2 dogs.
She’s friendly with adults, kids, and other dogs.
Luna can be sensitive and a bit shy at first, but with gentle reassurance she blossoms into a happy, playful, loving companion. Like many young dogs, Luna is still working on her manners. She gets excited when greeting people and may jump up, and she’s learning that counters are not for surfing. She’s also practicing taking treats more gently - all things she’s improving on with positive, consistent guidance.
