Meet Diesel – The Golden Boy of His Golden Years!

At almost 14 years young, Diesel is living proof that age is just a number! This sweet, easygoing senior has had a major glow-up since coming into rescue. After being surrendered due to his owners’ declining health, Diesel himself wasn’t in the best shape, but with the right food, supplements for his Lyme disease and arthritis, and a little daily exercise, this boy has come back to life!

Now he’s loving every minute of his second act! Whether he’s chasing his ball, exploring the farm, or very importantly supervising horse-feeding time (he loves the horses), Diesel is embracing his retirement with enthusiasm. He’s fantastic with other dogs, cats, and of course, horses. He’s also great with kids, though they need to be old enough to respect his space and not turn him into a jungle gym.

House-trained and a solid sleeper, Diesel happily snoozes on the couch or a cozy dog bed at night.

Diesel is a total gem who deserves a loving home to enjoy his retirement years in comfort, and thats exactly what he has. We have made it offical that Diesel will remain apart of our rescue permanently as he is thriving in his foster home and we do not want to move him anymore. 

​

Diesel has arthritis as well as lyme disease. He has some dental issues that will soon need to be addressed as well. We have Diesel on a special low-fat diet as well as daily supplements and medication to aid in his arthritis.
