🍏 Meet Apple – A Sweet but Timid Little Soul Looking for a Gentle Home 🍏

Apple is a 9-month-old rat terrier mix weighing in at just 8 pounds. Along with her presumed siblings, Wentworth and Cypress, Apple came to us from a challenging hoarding situation, and she’s now ready for a fresh start in a safe, understanding home.

​

Apple is incredibly sweet but very shy, having grown up in an unstable environment. She loves the companionship of other dogs, especially larger ones, and she’ll need a confident canine buddy (or two!) in her new home to help her feel safe. Apple would thrive in a household where she can observe and follow the example of stable, well-socialized dogs. She’s also good with cats and does best around respectful children over 12 who understand her need for space and patience.

Apple isn’t house-trained yet, so a home with a fenced backyard where she can go outside frequently would help her build good potty habits. Apple is fearful of crates and will need time to feel secure without one. Patience and consistent routines will be key as she adjusts to a life of love and stability.

Apple is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her preventative care, with no known medical issues.

Now she just needs a home that’s committed to helping her gain confidence and a sense of belonging.
